"Koinonia" What is it?

Koinonia is the Greek word for fellowship. It refers to Christian community, one's place in a group, and the representation of fellowship as a joint gift. The word appears 19 times in the New Testament and is translated "fellowship," "sharing," "participation,'' and "contribution." Koinonia was born out of a desire that two moms had to see this type of community for their own children. The heart of the co-op is to form community among families, a place where we can cultivate friendships that run deep. Proverbs 27:17 is their verse... "As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend."
